Це аніме зроблено, щоб бути хітом у Америці, і воно про гурт, який мріє бути хітом у Америці. Такі речі в цьому аніме приймаються за беззаперечну даність і навіть не обговорюються. Чому вершиною музичних прагнень має бути популярність? (І чому саме в Америці?!) — такі питання в голову творців цього серіалу, здається, не приходили… Та це лише одна з низки абсурдних, сміховинних і абсолютно для мене незбагненних передумов, якими світ Беку просто кишить.

Головна неприємність для цього аніме полягає у тому, що воно немузичне. Це не було би такою вже невдачою, якби це аніме не було про музику! Ну добре, воно про шлях до слави підліткового гурту — але обійтися без музики в такому сюжеті досить важко

Some news about new Suzumiya Haruhi September 16, 2008

A lot of you guys seem completely confused, and the original article is actually slightly off as well. So I’m here to clarify!
The only thing that is holding up the “second season” is the fact that there have been alterations to the character designs by head illustrator Noizi Ito. This is also the reason the 10th book was held up as well.
In order to conform to the illustrations of the 10th book, KyoAni decided to incorporate the altered character designs into the anime and kind of start from scratch. There have been no conceptual meetings about where to take the story as th original article suggests. Instead, what is meant by “new animation” is simply that KyoAni has decided to essentially remake the first season with the new character designs - this will be called “The Prologue of Haruhi Suzumiya”. This new animation of the first season will also include footage that was never shown in the original animation. The “second season” will then follow the “prologue of haruhi suzumiya”. This “second season” will be based entirely on the fourth book, the “disappearance of haruhi suzumiya”.
There will be no deviations from the book at all. My guess is that they’re making this a 24-26 episode “season”. First, the “remake” (new animation) of the first season will air, then the second season will follow.
The article in the July 2008 Newtype states that fans can look forward to a “Early 2009″ release, and that all of Noizi Ito’s new character designs will be revealed in the December 2008 issue of Japan’s Newtype.
To clarify, ONLY THE CHARACTER DESIGNS WILL CHANGE! The original stories of the novels - both “melancholy” and “disappearance” - will stay exactly the same.

Цієї осені буде дуже багато нового аніме. Але нічого захмарного серед нових серій. Зате ціла хвиля знаменитих сіквелів. Тому про сіквели цього разу окремо.

Головні герої переїжджають вчитися до Парижа, а далі все, як і було (навколо- псевдо-музичні приколи). Мене таке особливо не цікавить — не люблю, коли у аніме є фільм, це зазвичай ознака лайна. Але це аніме (на відміну від фільму) дивитися ще можна… тут хоч малюнок є, він привносить якусь матерію. Одним словом, для фанства [далі ще дооовгий пост...]
