I only remember that it was about some American serial killer that in some way resembles Johann. Plus there were some psychological experiments during WWII (on all sides, not only in Germany). Also you can read about parallels between Johann and Hitler <a href="http://www.anime-kraze.org/forums/viewtopic.php?t=9218">here on anime-kraze</a>. As for me those are minor resemblances, and as I know mangaka Urasawa Naoki dislikes the idea of such real-life correspondences.
